This and that.

We've started to fall into some semblance of a routine here, though it's still a bit chaotic. We got a decent amount unpacked over the last few days, which makes me feel a little better. I'd really like this house to end up with at least a room or two that feel comfortable and uncluttered. It's nice to work towards that goal.

Today, Ari and I went to West Seattle to pick up a free toy (a very basic exersaucer type thing). That area has its own PCC Market and Met Market (oddly quite close to each other, just like the NE ones), so of course I had to go their for goodies. Will I ever tire of the frequent cupcakes and other desserts? Considering that I may be pre-diabetic, perhaps it is time to get out the old blood tester and monitor things for a while. At least the morning walks are likely to be helping.

As we move more into fall, I have my eye on the weather here and the Midwest. It's getting slightly cooler but not much. It's been about like this (days in the 60s, nights in the 50s), since we got here...while IA and IN enjoyed their warm days. But now, the nights are getting much colder there, and they're not here. I hear it's supposed to be a overly wet but not overly cold La Nina winter here. We shall see.

I don't know if it's a result of the move away from friends or just a natural part of a growing baby - or even thoughts about Ari being my last (!) - but I find that I adore her more and more. She started a cute little babble a few days ago. She woke me up a lot last night, and my elbows ache from the fibromyalgia flareup...but she's cute as heck, so I can't be too upset with her. ;)
