Here Comes the Rain Again...

Falling on my head like a memory...
Falling on my head like a new emotion...

It's a little ironic that my last post was about sun. Now it is raining, and based on the forecast and the comments local people have been making, it sounds as though it will be raining constantly between now and...next summer (or spring, at least).

Since we're due for a very blustery day tomorrow, the colorful leaves may soon be gone. But I have to say that there *are* some nice fall trees out here, and some of them really pop out on foggy and cloudy days. It's kind of cool actually. I still prefer sunny days with gobs of colorful trees, but this fall hasn't been as bad as I expected when I first arrived. ;)

One of my dilemmas this past month or so has been where to go for the traditional fall cider, doughnuts, pumpkin patch, etc. There were a couple of great places like this near Muncie, but visiting one require a longer drive here. Part of me feels compelled to do things like this in spite of having a six month old baby. You never know what the future may bring - gotta take advantage now! But I've changed my mind about this. It's tempting, but it's just too much hassle. Next fall, I'll have a toddler who can get more out of it, won't be napping 3x a day, and hopefully will tolerate the car trip better. So why torture everyone? We have enough to do around here. Next fall, we can see more.
