Mea Culpa

Lately I have been undertaking a mass decluttering project. I bought a couple of books to inspire me. One is Throw Out Fifty Things, which I'm nearly done with, and the other is Clutter Busting, which is next on the reading list.

Today I took five boxes of stuff to Goodwill. I suspect it won't be the only trip. I've also recycled a bunch of old papers. But the thing I really feel bad about is the stuff I have to throw away. I hate that I am putting some crap in a landfill somewhere. Today's contribution: several pairs of old shoes. At least they were worn. Sometimes the things I have to throw out are just junky crap that I shouldn't have accumulated in the first place. After decluttering, the #2 lesson is don't buy more junk.
