Here's an interesting interview with Sarah Palin, while at a turkey farm. video
As for Thanksgiving here...I guess we're not doing anything. Maybe we'll go out to eat; I think we did that two years ago. I was in Indianapolis yesterday but didn't manage to get to Whole Foods. I was going to see if they had a seitan loaf like I bought in IA last year. Maybe we'll go back again this week.

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to you folks...I saw the Palin thing...I think when folks go to the meat case they don't realize or ignore the mayhem
that occurs to bring the steak and chicken breasts to them...do you remember our chicken day out in the barnlot? I don't want to come
back as a chicken...lol
Dad
Sure, I remember. I also remember I didn't eat chicken for a while after that. ;)
Do you suppose Palin ever noticed what was happening and how her comments didn't seem appropriate to the events? (ie: "it was fun")
Call it what you will, going to the grocery and picking up a 12 lb plastic bag doesn't much resemble the activities going on there. It's hard to connect the plastic bag to the death.
True...but we're smart critters and can put it together. It kind of reminds me of the little things that kids learn...i.e. object permanence. Is the hiding person really gone? It's easy to deny what has happened (or not even think of it) when you buy that bird in a bag, but the facts are still there. ;) Of course, one thing I've learned is that the death/guts/suffering (etc) just don't bother some people.
